A lot problems with SVGs saving.

hello, i'm writing here because sitting in tears ai cc issues.

iwrote support, after sending them samples (requested them) silence longer time. forums suggestions didnt help.

 

at first me , collegue had problem saving svgs ais. after saving (all settings good, , not first time, when generate svgs in life) when trying open file there error: "the svg invalid. validate before opening."

 

after few dozens of tries found trick it.

1) take vector picture ai,

2) paste smart object ps,

3) increase resolution eg 600 dpi

4) copy raster file ai back

5) image trace (hight fidelity photo)

6) save , yay, svg opens.

 

but many of files prepared way i'm getting error. showed on attached picture. left side traced picture, right svg after reopening (white areas).

 

sorry can't show image because of nda.

i'm going insane, client gets angry, , can nothing

svg files saved reduced accuracy.

 

your file looks made excessive use of gradients, transparency , raster effects. guess svg isn't able have "live", needs expanded, maybe illustrator partly expands , file gets complicated browsers display it.

 

so might better idea drop svg altogether , save raster image file instead.

 

but without complete picture might difficult say.
