Thread: Skype hangs up automatically

hello, couple days have problem skype. when i'm talking somebody, after 5,10 or 30(random) mins hangs up. have problem skype 4.1.0.20 , 2.1.0.81. i'm xubuntu 12.10 64bit. i've tried use emulator , run skype windows(3.8) can't log in.

i had untold problems 4.1.0.20 seems since m$ bought skype & released updates, became unusable.

installed skype-ubuntu_2.2.0.35-1_i386.deb no runs without issue. doesn't pretty works!
removed .skype home directory before re-installation.

i'm running ubuntu 12.04 lts 64bit. there isn't 64bit version of skype.

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
