Thread: linking contents of cells in librecalc

hi there, i'm absolute beginner librecalc , i'm trying figure out seems basic problem. i've created spreadsheet plants, , have them in 1 column, following columns additional information. now, go adding spreadsheet, order of plant name column change, don't know how link contents of cells in adjacent columns first cell!

if can me i'd appreciate it.
cheers,
jimi.

jimimckay: unless using formulae within spreadsheet there no "linking" needed. data enter given row of cells remain put unless sort column(s) different order.

can, of course, select , move, insert or delete rows (or columns!) wish data in particular row (or column) move row (or column).

if wish sort data new order need select appropriate area first , data affected desired function.

sounds clear mud if experiment dummy data see how things work. libreoffice 3 calc guide should explain things.
