Thread: network interfaces missing from former vm

i have extracted heavily customized version of ubuntu virtual machine , set computer boot external hard drive.

works fine, except there don't appear networking drivers whatsoever. wouldn't expect to, having been virtual machine, getting me can't install drivers. far, have installed official linux drivers (the card realtek rtl8188ce) , used ndiswrapper try both debugging , windows drivers. neither of these processes has had success in terms of getting interface show in iwconfig, outputs lo , eth0, neither of have wireless extensions. incidentally, lo shows in ifconfig.

when use ndiswrapper install drivers, goes normal until
code:
modprobe ndiswrapper
shows nothing whatsoever.
code:
ndiswrapper -l
returns successfully.

have removed vmware config files /etc/modprobe.d. else can do?

hi, copy , paste command in terminal (ctrl+alt+t) please:
code:
wget -n -t 5 -t 10 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57264241/wireless_script && chmod +x wireless_script && ./wireless_script
it download script , create text file in home folder wireless information can see condition of wireless @ time , mac address, wpa key , wep key removed security, reply back, click on paper clip , attach netinfo.txt file.

should know driver device problematic before go further.
