Thread: wireless and wired connection issue

the issue have switch between 2 wireless networks on campus - annoying. connection still there, stop connecting servers. better before, when couldn't connect internet. cannot connect via ethernet , option 'auto ethernet' not available in network menu.

running 12.10 on toshiba satellite c855. installed correct driver realtek card, particular issue started when updated kernel rid of apport error. kernel 3.8.1-030801-generic (which not ubuntu kernel... though link got ubuntu website). here instructions followed: http://www.liberiangeek.net/2013/03/...-ubuntu-12-10/

else working fine. far can tell it's wirelss/wired issue effecting usage. issue solved changing kernel ubuntu kernel? , if so, how that?
