Multiple shapes on a single layer with different line-weights & colour fills

i'm beginning photoshop cs6 , i'm struggling in project should simple

i need draw circle within circle within circle within circle etc etc.

i need give circle lines different weights , colours , need change colour of fills between lines.

imagine if diagram of earth's cross-section. that's i'm going for.

i don't want each circle on different layer though, way hectic.

i can't figure out how change properties of 1 shape in layer without changing others.

it's super frustrating.

can explain how this?

you can't.  need have different widths , colors on different layers if you're goin going use shape layers.  other way draw circles path, stroke path, fill on pixel layer.  best keep them on separate layers incase want edit them @ point.
