Thread: Bonobo Extreme with multiple screens

hi guys, i'm thinking buying bonobo extreme (bonx6).

connect 2 apple led 27" screens total of 3 if include laptop's own screen. each apple screen has resolution of 2560x1440.

work without issues or hardware and/or ubuntu drivers or software limit it? note want compiz work on setup too, note have find kind of hdmi -> dp adapter hdmi out port, adapter needs able handle 2560x1440.

stuff not forte , haven't been able find definitive answers googling either sorry if it's stupid question.

the video card , nvidia drivers under linux have more enough power let work on 2 1440 monitors.

having said that, apple monitors bad choice. not sure if thunderbolt monitors can work non-apple systems , older cinema monitors work on mini-display port. bonobo comes regular display port , adapters regular mini dp @ best rare (i couldn't find on newegg). furthermore, there dp hdmi adapters, hdmi dp adapters not exist. on top of that, unless have 2 apple monitors, should consider cheaper , @ least (i.e. asus pb278q). @ work, 1 linux guys surrounded apple people , asus @ least apple monitors.

if asus monitors (or of type), need use both dp , hdmi ports on laptop. dp should run without issues, using asus monitor desktop , dp, no problems @ all. use nvidia utility , works great. however, getting hdmi run 2560x1440 tricky. here thread of mine had work on issue:

note nvidia driver may not play xrandr , may have use nvidia-settings tool, not sure or how.
