i have laptop dual booted ubuntu 12.04 , windows 7 ultimate. used this installation guide assist me install. used easybcd in windows 7 allow me select os used upon boot up. did not realise ubuntu 12.04 have feature setup automatically. when boot 2 boot option screens:





change boot process grub provides boot options. tried removing both entries in easybcd led laptop not booting @ all, saying not find bootloader. fixed running windows 7 repair. tried set countdown timer in easybcd 0 meant able boot ubuntu.

know changes need make grub boot screen boot option screen see , grub 1 provides os boot option? thanks.

we need see details make specific suggestions. need grub in mbr (if not new uefi) , grub controls boot. have edit bcd remove entries directly boot windows.
easybcd uses grub4dos chainload ubuntu installed in partition. grub in partition compromise not fit. converts blocklists or addresses find rest of grub. if grub in ubuntu updated address may change , have re-install grub partition. have ubuntu live flash drive handy make fixes. should have windows repaircd in case also.

can repair many boot issues or 'create bootinfo' report (other options) & post link creates, can see exact configuration , diagnose advanced problems.
install in ubuntu livecd or usb or full repaircd boot-repair (for newer computers)

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
