Thread: fifo file: No such file or directory?

my first time trying utilize fifo file. when use mkfifo, file created successfully. however, when try pipe in output file receive error.

wine mp32.exe -o /root/project/file ?l?l?l?l?d?d?d?d
error: /root/project/file: no such file or directory


ideas?
