Thread: Equivalent of nvidia-settings for Intel HD Graphics 4000

folks,

existing htpc runs on ubuntu , has nvidia video card. htpc has 2 video outputs. hdmi output connected projector , vga output connected monitor. run separate x windows (not twinview) that, while watching movie via projector, can else on monitor.

thinking of replacing htpc smaller form factor , looking @ new breed of mini-itx motherboards. cpu looking @ intel core i3 has hd graphics 4000 gpu.

1 advantage of nvidia run nvidia-settings , configure separate x-windows ui.

wondering if there equivalent ui available intel hd graphics gpu. more importantly, able configure new setup 2 separate x-windows?

afaik, there's no equivalent gui tool.

need use command tool 'xrandr', and/or edit xorg config file manually.

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
