hi posted earlyer compatability issues ther resolved got packages 1 more thing knw vista has partioning issus have 2 harddrives first thought seprate drive duel boot after further readiing , security updates support x-fi hd usb dac ending im actualy hinking of removeing vista , going full linux ubuntu 12.04 iv used open suse 12.2 , ubuntu 12.04 inthe past , liked them both im noob becaus when comes terminal dont know hole in ground have done several full installs before of linux never duel wont own windows pc or mac whould computerso iguess im asking whats think should full install or risk problems of duel boot

try live cd , see if works (sound, networking, graphics etc) , if , don't need windows particularly arcane piece of software go it.

if have external hard drive or similar take image of hard drive clonezilla before start if goes wrong or cange mind can put windows back.
