Thread: resizing cloned partitions

so did full install of ubuntu (all default settings) 12.04 40gb drive. i've since cloned drive (full clone, incl. boot sector, etc.) 120gb drive. now, i've got 80gb of unused space since partition sizes kept same.

can safely resize ext4 partition (now ~30gb) using gparted on livecd, without having deal funkyness?

thanks!

you should able without problem. keep in mind both share same uuid both cannot plugged in until 1 changed.
