Thread: Getting error on logrotate - can't find cause

hello,

i'm not linux expert. may "corrupt chair keyboard interface" issue, here goes:

i'm running 10.04 lts server. daily messages following information:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate: runlevel:/var/run/utmp: no such file or directory runlevel:/var/run/utmp: no such file or directory runlevel:/var/run/utmp: no such file or directory

i can't find coming from. no references utmp anywhere. tried creating dummy utmp file, no luck.

searches have not gleaned usefull information, message seems crop here , there...

help...
