Thread: PPTP vpn problem (Can't route IP)

norwegian, if dont understand i'm writing here, sorry english.
well, case:
have server in norway. server not have possibility static public ip-addresses, way.
rent server in nl 4 static public ip-addresses.
want run pptp vpn nl norway, , route 1 of public ip-addresses nl norway.

both servers run lastest ubuntu, 64 bits.

nl public ip-addresses (cencored of course):
xxx.xxx.xxx.146
xxx.xxx.xxx.147
xxx.xxx.xxx.148
xxx.xxx.xxx.149
/etc/network/interfaces @ server in nl set xxx.xxx.xxx.146 main ip-address. don't have set other ip-addresses in file, because have routed norway.

in pptpd.conf file, have:
localip xxx.xxx.xxx.146
remoteip xxx.xxx.xxx.146-149

, in chap-secrets file have:
name server password ip that:

norway pptp ****** xxx.xxx.xxx.147

when connect, works. can connect vpn-server.
when run command:
ping -i ppp0 xxx.xxx.xxx.146
works. can ping vpn-server.

if run:
ping -i ppp0 google.com
not work. can't ping other hosts.
tried run:
iptables -t nat -a postrouting -o eth0 -j masquerade
, set ipv4_forward 1. checked sysctl -p, , outputs 1.

didn't work either.

when connect windows machine, works. can connect, can ping hosts, but:
public ip-address same server's public ip, not ip have assigned.
(i can see in ipconfig vpn-server assigned xxx.xxx.xxx.147 it, when go whatismyip.com, it's xxx.xxx.xxx.146)

well, have given up.
solutions? forgot?

important note:
worked before reinstalled both servers...

half-solved:
if not make firewall rule masquerades eth0, works on windows.
have other problems ubuntu box, fix , come feedback.
