Thread: System doesn't start because of messed up mounting

hello, i'm not expert on this, broke down ubuntu system , though it's nothing serious (i think), have no idea how fix it.
happened:
installed software(i can't remember name @ moment, got using application installer(i forgot how it's called in 12.04 i'm using, set today, in previous versions synaptic), , program responsible drive mounting. however, mounted 2 of partitions (they called 'much' , 'dideli', , analogically been mounted in /media/much , /media/dideli), , after restarted pc ubuntu doesn't load. manged text error clicking delete, , written there like:
cannot mount file system /media/dideli.
imagine got set on auto-mount during ubuntu startup, however, went wrong. think have disable mounting, right? in way, should do? thanks.

presumably whatever installed software-centre have changed /etc/fstab file , added lines 2 partitions. please try remember installed may make life simpler.

can boot live cd or usb, manually mount root partition of installed ubuntu, , /etc/fstab file in that. make sure not seeing /etc/fstab of live system. show content of file.

fstab in root partition of instalation causing problem should have 2 lines relating partitions causing error, can edit them out command
code:
gksudo gedit /media/partition-name/etc/fstab
you find partition's name in location bar of nautilus when search file.

there not need install packages mount, or automount partitions @ boot, easy manually backing , editing fstab, saving file checking ok command
code:
sudo mount -a
