hi, new-er ubuntu , world of linux. student graduates in may , have used windows whole life , that's taught student runs on. have grown curiousity towards linux , have found ubuntu favorite version. 2 days ago tried setup laptop dual boot ubuntu , windows 8, other times i've tried install ubuntu has given me option install next windows , import user info time reason didn't , installed on windows 8. i'm not sure why time didn't give me option. have gotten few questions ubuntu , hoping me out:

1. use thunderbird connect gmail account to. when delete email in thunderbird sends 'all mail' folder in gmail, how set go trash?

2. have figured out how access ubuntu machine windows computers cannot seem figure out how access windows machines ubuntu, error messages. there have set up?

3. have 2 windows programs run through wine make work on ubuntu how set up?

4. general curiousty question.....is linux used in corporate world?

appreciate can provide. far loving ubuntu, people make linux out complicated doesn't seem be, people afraid of learning curve. figure out how install configure partitions on own, know how have play around. sure have more questions these starting. again thank can supply.

'corporate world,' mean? linux seeing bit more use desktop os in corporate environment, microsoft has firm hold on corporate desktop far. underneath surface, corporate world sees more linux serves windows servers. in of corporate/enterprise environments have experienced, of windows servers used virtual systems hosted on linux servers.
