Text Field Validation Pattern

hi, know if there character text field pattern can used alphanumeric characters, commas, periods, , spaces? user puts box gets formatted?

 

here's validation patterns started with:

text{', '0}|text{', '00}|text{', '000}|text{', '0000}|text{', '00000}|text{', '000000}|text{', '0000000}|text{', '00000000}

 

problem occurs when user enters values may contain space or comma, example (pe, leed) doens't validate.

 

any thoughts? i'm sure there way format javascript, i'm not saavy enough that...
