Thread: ubuntu or linux on iBook G4?

hello world north have on years aquiered several old macbooks hope resurect/ swich on linux, promising of them old ibook g4 a154 ppc processor @ 1064 mhz , 512 mb ram 40 gb hdd , slot loading drive, need right distro , version , how instructions find ubuntu forums oh @ providing keep out of hands of apple , microsoft.

p.s. close enough ubuntu desktop 1 might install on pc nowdays using ubuntu environment fine, not couldent use else though, personal preference.

try lubuntu 12.10 ppc. burn bootable cd of it, insert cd, , hold down "c" while boots up. should boot menu, can boot cd. installer step through there.
i'm working @ putting on powermac g5- i'm having graphics issues, i'll work through them in time.
