on 19/02/13 newdocs reached ranking of 7 in google in usa.

newdocs ?

newdocs consists of popular regularly opened ubuntu documentation pages.

@ present community documentation consists of 4,000 pages on 1 long file. why initial download time on titleindex typically can take between 20 , 28 seconds load. other main disadvantage of titleindex because on such long file, scrolling awkward. review titleindex here - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/titleindex

newdocs on other hand @ present has 678 pages these cover between 85 - 90 % of documentation pages searched for. typically, takes between 4 - 5 seconds load huge improvement.

if find in situation wish recommend ubuntu documentation, may find convenient print out copy of newdocs. find alphabetical page documents readily lend printing.

there no comparison here titleindex not have layout suitable printing.

total newdocs printout believe take in order of low fifties in terms of page numbers. these pages set out in file suitable easy reference. relatively simple matter of referring prospective enquirer alphabetical page listing enable him or study subject in depth via ubuntu documentation. example. user provided bookmark link newdocs plus page listing number. keep in mind once have newdocs, have access 678 pages of ubuntu documentation on 1 bookmark.
