Thread: Ubuntu 12.10 x64 dont shutdown PC from menu!

cant shutdown pc menu:
question 1: unity problem? if instal normal interface gnome help?
question 2: shutdown pc menu admin, non admin user, , on login screen without password prom?

have motherboard
ga-h77m-d3h" (ih77, 4xddr3, sata iii, sata ii, raid, 2xpci-e, d-sub, dvi, hdmi, sb, 1Гбит lan, usb2.0, usb3.0, matx)
cpu
intel "core i5-3470" (3.20ГГц, 4x256КБ+6МБ, em64t, gpu) socket1155
ubuntu 12.10 x64 douwnload @ friday
clean installed on disk 1
on disk 2 have ubuntu 11.10

tried edit /etc/default/grub
- helps 1 time on second boot no effect

can shutdown pc terminal

sudo shutdown -h now

u have login 2 users - thats way admin couldon shutdown withiot password becouse anather user login

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
