Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro - odd font won't go away

i began creating new form , hadn't checked default font.  after making 10 fields used preview enter text.  not liking result, had @ font being used.  called, "kozminpr6n-regular," japanese.  never heard of - have never used it.  not sure how became default.  changed font 10 fields, reset default helvetica , created 60 or fields.

the form printed fine in acrobat pro, when opened in reader (11.0.06) , tried print using print dialog, received message "the document not printed."  clicked ok (the option) , new box opened said "there no pages selected print."  after "selected all" in print dialog , saw preview of document thumbnail.

at 1 point instructed go adobe website download font since "the author hadn't included it."  well, author , apparently referring japanese font.

back acrobat, , opening document properties > fonts see japanese font included, helvetica.  yet i've checked of field properties , there's helvetica in use.  short of starting on scratch, how can fix this?

also, looked embedding fonts in dialog, that's of no since doesn't tell me how - pros , cons.

i'm running os x 10.9.2.

thoughts?  thank you!

the problem when use 1 of non-base-14 fonts form field , change base-14 font (times, helvetica, courier, etc.), reference non-base-14 font not removed pdf. think should , i've filed bug issue , i'm hoping fixed in future. things stand now, have start on unless know how hack pdf remove reference font.
