Thread: The correct way to install bumblebee??

dear friends, dig lot of times before posting, samsung laptop runs on ubuntu gnome remix edition 12.10 has nvidia gt 650m graphic card not able install bumblebee not once twice. being beginner had reinstall os twice!! can 1 me on how install bumblebee on laptop can use onboard gpu instead of nvidia can have battery backup??

have 1 more doubt, laps temperature increasing usual, because lap using nvidia gpu??? ( cos lap new... )

to add stable bumblebee ppa , install bumblebee open terminal window , run following commands:
code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bumblebee/stable sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install bumblebee bumblebee-nvidia
once installed, log out , log in, try out running optirun glxspheres. may need edit bumblebee configuration file if you're not using nvidia-current (/etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf).

then, if want application or game use nvidia graphics card, launch optirun
example:
code:
optirun steam
