Thread: Ethernet driver and the patch file

hi there, i've had go way kernel 3.8 desired hd-audio passthrough working intel hd4000 in mac mini late 2012 quad core i7.

i'm on ubuntu 12.10 kernel 3.8.0 generic.

unfortunately means fix in thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2078320 worked in earlier kernels, no longer works me, 1 of devs on @ xbmc gave me patch file says used compile driver in 3.7 , worked him.

, herein lies question, i've tried patch -u makefiles.sh patch.txt ,

patch -np1 --ignore-whitespace makefiles.sh patch.txt


both 2 files in same folder (patch.txt being called copy/pasta paste bin)


both of i've gleaned google, keep getting hunk errors (i know i'm irresistible, hunk little on flattering)

can please point me in right direction please on whether i'm missing out on naming convention, placement of files prior patching or else altogether ?

not direct answer, have tried ubuntu 13.04 daily build? maybe works both hd-audio , ethernet hardware?

i'm running 13.04 2 weeks now, , feels stable. better 12.10.
