Thread: Turning my laptop into a wireless hotspot

i bought hawking usb adaptor connect nintendo ds computer, turning computer router. need because router using wpa2, ds supports wep (and i'm unwilling downgrade because wep far insecure).

basically, i'm looking way accomplish on linux (the page says works non-windows oses, doesn't explain how set up):

i know has been while since posted have kind of been looking this. figured out afternoon , hope can of use you.
though work on laptop built in wifi/network card assume works kind of same.

used program ap-hotspot basic configuration.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ap-hotspot
after removed last 5 lines /etc/hostapd-hotspot.conf

said buit in network card , ubuntu suspect pretty same.
