I have a question about free hand crop on PhotoshopCC

i have pic want take specific shape from, colors numerous , complex magic wand wont work. there way free hand crop or select odd shape drawing option?????? want snip loader machine pic , insert in collage. can suggest method this? using photoshop cc.

hold down mouse button on magic wand tool in tool bar few seconds, small popup appear, select quick selection tool. can use drag on utv, move utv new layer (ctrl-shift-j {windows} command-shift-j {mac})

 

 

instead of moving new layer, convert selection mask. click icon in layers panel looks circle inside of square. also, if layer image on background layer, need click on padlock on layer convert it normal layer, required make mask work.

 

the reason mask, make easier change shape of mask if needs adjusting ex. can still see part of house.

 

the mask non-destructive, meaning can remove time want @ later date. whereas cut layer destructive, meaning once done , not have backup, there no going once file closed.
