Thread: Purple Screen on Bootup-Stuck

i'm stuck on purple screen on boot @ moment. i've tried booting recovery mode using shift gnu grub v2.00 , going advanced options ubuntu , hitting ubuntu, linux 3.5.0-17-generic (recovery mode), brings busybox v1.19.3 ash built in shell, haven't clue with. gives ton of error messages going recovery mode, like:
5.607159 lost page write due i/o error on loop0
5.607286 loop: write error @ byte offset 15627979776 length 1024
mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: no such file or directory.
there lots more decimal numbers @ beginning, , i'm newb understand can't access write something... or something...
installed using windows install tool onto secondary partition, allocating 20gb/250 ish gb of space last night, on while setting python, apache , applying gedit theme , addons. shut down , went bed. have tried boot ubuntu generic linux mode doesn't have recovery mode, gets stuck @ loading initial ramdisk.
there seems lot of errors here , don't understand why. laptop 64-bit celeron t3500 built in graphics. model samsung s3510.
im confused.

edit: laptop boots win7 fine, tested. believe can access partition windows well.

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
