"Topic templates" for providing a base structure

hi all,

is there way provide "content templates" autor, containing base structure continue work? goal provide set of topic templates different base structures, i.e. elements inserted when creating new topic. technically these dita concepts. want avoid specialization (with different topic types defined in structapps) reason because dtds identical. meant assistance in every-day work.

 

do know script used, or have other suggestion?

you can create number of "template" (xml) files, open create new document, saveas "new" file name. these template files can have whatever structure want.

 

btw .. dita-fmx provides feature part of "new file" dialog in feature called "element templates". set them ahead of time , can either choose create new "empty" file, or choose predefined element templates create new file.

 

alternatively .. leximation offers plugin called structure snippets, lets create "snippets" of structured content can insert current document needed. use store new file "templates" if needed ..
