Thread: Boots to low resolution, no panels, menu.


after installing latest updates , restarting, ubuntu starts in low resolution , i'm unable see menu or desktop items. can see background , wallpaper , right-click opens cs-menu nothing else visible (appears outside of screen view).

did attempt unsuccessfully install nvidia drivers (failed install) , i'm assuming causing issue.

ctrl+alt+t takes me terminal. suggestions on can there? ideally i'd graphics mode had before (the nvidia drivers whole other issue).

have linux experience (though new ubuntu). suggestions appreciated;
