Thread: I have 4029 bad sectors. Should I worry?

my sata drive 2009 , has been under circumstances it's not "pleasant" drive, such blackouts (lots of them).
on ubuntu 12.04 smart reported 4029 bad sectors. zero-fill on drive , read reallocates bad sectors. so, if reallocate, why "a failure imminent"? why should worry?

replace drive.
guess on 4000 bad sectors, you've maxed out spare sectors, sit around couple hundred.
meaning write placed in bad sector, moved ether no spare sectors available.
