Thread: To run Ubuntu12.04 using Pen drive

i need know running ubuntu 12.04 usb port[pen drive] provides full support after installing it.or have install ubuntu first full support?
, 1 thing more want know after installing ubuntu on hdd, removes full hdd of windows including files, softwares , documents because right dont have win os bootmgr gets compressed(win7 requires cd or bootable pd, dont have) so, im running ubuntu os on pen drive rather installing it.im able open win7 data in ubuntu using pen drive.
should previous win7 data can't removed or recoverable?

do mean live usb?
don't see why wouldn't supported.

if install on hard drive , want keep windows system aside, have go dual boot setup in able choose whether want boot windows or ubuntu. way, you'll have both systems , files (you can choose option during installation).

if want sure datas won't recoverable (not you) low level format of hard drive appropriate software

if wrong, can kill hard drive don't if don't know how to.
