Thread: What is the best Disk format and software to burn a Ubuntu disk?

i have cd-r 's couldnt hold os if wanted , dvd-r dont seem detected burning softare suggested in tutorial .. im thinking hp dvd writer 300n 1.25 cant write them thought ide ask around here before buying new dvd writer

i have choice - dvd+rw , dvd-rw. want read/write. way can re-use disk. cd-r/cd+r , dvd-r/dvd+r read only. cannot re-use them.

strictly speaking, r = recordable, , rw = rewritable.

the "plus" format uses more reliable phase modulation technique [2] provide 'sector' address information. introduced after "-" format.
also take note of maximum write speed size in gb or time video.

regards.
