Thread: Installing from an edited persistent usb: Will changes effect final install?

so it's time me install linux on mums dying windows laptop (lets face it, literally matter of time) i've made live usb, , gave 2gb file persistence.
if edit/reconfigure usb install, install copyrighted codecs, install flash player , chromium set desktop beginner friendly options (like removing unity , replacing cinnamon ) these changes carry on installation made usb or end vanilla install no matter how change live usb? has tried before , saves me effort of test install know answer.

i'm hoping able configure before hand don't have configure in 1 session next time see because undoubtedly forget , call asking "why wont x work?"

regards
mark

edit: x being unknown variable, i'd bloody impressed if mum knew x window system is.

no, well-intentioned plan world's efficient installation not going work wished. if has internet connection, verified live cd connecting via ethernet, better off make plain text file of packages want install, separated single space. call file "list of useful packages.txt". install basic system live cd, install needed firmware or non-free drivers , video working correctly, , paste in list of packages after "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install", , let pull them in , install them.
