Thread: turn off all text shadowing


anyone know way turn off text shadowing? if not in 1 place, piecemeal do.

shadowing plays heck readibility , i'm not aware of real evidence ever enhances it. worse of change colors , zoom enhance readibility attached particularly egregious example of shadowing can to readibility colors unmodified , in zooming in our out not make better. particular example pdf (pretty darned fscked format) opened in firefox problem not linited application or file type. i'm finding big problem in epubs read fbreader, example.

reading , double if have suggestions.

afaik, isn't possible turn off all text shadowing in 1 place if all mean globally.

also, wouldn't know pdf files , ereaders..

have turned off text shadows in regular web pages including
code:
* { text-shadow: none !important; }
in css sheet browsers.

i've done similar in gtk themes that's little trial , error. search "shade" or "shadow" in relevant theme files , if feel line should changed on commented out, so.

please provide accessible link me download small pdf file showing shadow effect?

edit: looks you're in "high contrast" mode. so, gtk/kde themes shouldn't relevant you.
