How do I make the edges of my clips less sticky?

i switched final cut , absolutely love premiere pro.

 

the thing... can't seem past it's incredibly hard select center of small clips, because hover mouse towards center of clip, edges want seize attention of cursor if might want drag edge of clip or apply transition.  guess it's determining number of pixels cursor away edge of clip, want turn number down.

 

is there way adjust this?  it's annoying have zoom in time, grab center of little image overlay or something.  if there way adjust edge of clip "stickyness", absolutely love know it. 

i have similar issue with clip stickiness.

my issue.!

 

if 1 has bunch of clips butted (same video track) , 1 wishes nudge 1 of them... ctrl-shift->....the edge of adjoining clips affected , dragged action.  works rolling trim  edit.

 

i have thought snap (magnet) should controls ...but doesnt.

 

all clips should totally independent of each other .
