InDesign Help/Question

i have purchased indesign journalism class. students have been learning program , building our school newspaper several weeks no major issues. yesterday however, when tried open file had been using got alert saying file did not exist or in use. njot in our list of recent files.thinking had been "lost" started on :/

today, of files created listed, give same alert - new one.

can help?

first, open recent list lost when time changes between regular , savings time -- old bug , pain in neck.

 

second, either files not being saved (are working on network?) or lock files not being deleted correctly when id closes (again, network?). happens more typically when there's crash or forced shutdown, not unknown on network configurations. if lock file problem, should able open copy (not solution, test), in case resave new name (and continue making new versions until finished), , if can means should able navigate folder files saved , delete .idlk files (do when nobody working on files).
