Thread: Xampp & Adito together?

heya all;

first post on forums, little me , computer;

i've got old pc uni days used run xp xampp etc. liked idea of been able access entire pc via web, extremely handy when @ uni.

i've dusted off old machine , intend make file server, backing files etc, , having access web. it's running ubuntu 12.04 (with win7 on same disk work programs), , i've managed few little tweeks such conky, auto drive mounting, etc. still have list of things need fix/install/solve can wait.

had issues adito. i've re-installed scratch ubuntu12.04 3 times due adito. i've followed several different sets of instructions , each time 90% of way , stops.

first time had xampp installed , running fine, chose adito due having used ssl-explorer on old xp machine 5yrs ago (uni mate installed it), , php coding sucks.

tried clean install of ubuntu, straight adito no xampp, still same issues.

know if can run side side, or if there easier ways install adito.


date;
can install (i think), , create ssl certificate.
service starts, stops.
no webpages ever displayed (i.e; access computer on network).
throws wrapper.conf errors here , there.
installing adito after xampp, destroyed apache, , couldn't recover it, hence re-formate of ubuntu.

has ran these 2 side side? reason i'm asking is, current ubuntu setup complete, tweeking etc done, , don't want destroy work again.
