i've installed 12.10 on new vaio svs13 a290x.

disable keyboard backlight, viz:

haven't found how achieve in 12.10.

if so, value:

code:

cat /sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/kbd_backlight

if not 0, try echoing 0 see if turns off keyboard backlight:

echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/kbd_backlight
