Pathfinder Outline breaks up anchor points

ok first off relatively new illustrator, making transition on ps , finding extremely different , frustrating. please bear me feel free correct me if of terminology wrong.

the problem having begins trying break complex series of overlapping shapes small, individual segments . through searching, way find want, breaking complex shapes smallest possible segments pathfinder: outline tool.

the problem is, didn't realize @ first until zoomed in closer, after using outline tool , restroking paths, tool reason breaks , separates lot of individual anchor points within shape. mean is, there 1 anchor point previously, outline breaks 2 points, perfect, shifts points away each other. i'm not sure why this, leaves me bunch of broken/jagged lines should smooth instead. want points broken two, why shifted??

you can see circled area in attached photo example of mean. straight line running on downward slope jaggedly broken 2 misaligned pieces because 2 anchor points shifted. want them broken 2 why can't have stayed on top of 1 in order keep straight lines intact??

aside generic precision issues (you know, math functions rounding values etc.) snapping or pixel grid issue, if artwork relatively small. turning of snaps , may help, there wil lalways cases happens , can't avoid completely.
