Text tool changes entire image to red

hello,

the times post on threads when google has proven yield no pertinent information looking for.

 

 

when open file type (psd, tif, jpeg) after it's initial creation , attempt add text entire screen goes red. can add text, weird text has flashing thing going on. text can add not appear in or layer, can not edit later (when saved), , text appears if type it, after think have removed it. super frustrating! can not change color mode, greyed out.

 

 

alos, tried removing marque tool, worked, marque can not deleted, , can not make edits area tool used. (?!?!?!?)

 

 

help! lol

 

(also, noted adobe , it's support sucks. there new tools being developed, , cheaper well. if adobe not act support, these other tools become more advanced, move them. if spending few grand software not enough, have pay else. , chat option rigged take information , need pay phone call, , chat option says, "sorry, busy now." umm.... wasn't born yesterday....)

you mistakenly used text selection tool instead of text tool, , seeing red overly (just quickmask mode) show text selection go.

 

also, may seeing problems video card driver rendering red overlay.  update video card driver gpu maker's website.
