Thread: XAMMP / Wordpress

i'm having little issue running web server on 12.10. installed xampp went smoothly , installed wordpress without problem. when go site on local network, works fine. when try access remotely. have port 80 forwarded in router , have shorewall installed firewall ports 80 , 22 allowed through.

in chrome: downloads file named 'download' nothing in it

in ie8 gives blank page.

or nudges in right direction appreciated

you need set ip in settings --> general of wordpress (as it's domain).

if doesn't work need use other options "hard code" ip address.
