After Effects not using all my VRAM?

so, i've upgraded gtx 460 se gtx 770 4gb , cut 81 minute render time on 1 project down 23 minutes awesome, have issue ae cs5.5 isn't allowing me use more 800mb of vram regardles of how many models i'm using. single 300k poly model takes me 700mb (using element 3d plugin). adding 20 more models ranging 20k 400k doesn't change vram usage @ all. stays around 700mb.

 

do have change setting after effects see have more vram can used store more models? i'm not asking fill 4gb, expecting @ least take advantage of 2 3gb. old 1gb card fill 900mb boosted number of models , scale down removed models. in advance help!

 

 

system specs:

i7-3930k oc'd 4.5ghz

gtx 770 4gb gpu

16gb 1866 ram (upgrading 48gb soon)

ssd os , programs (no games)

ssd scratch , media

hdd audio , lower res media

dual 23" 1080 monitors (hp 23xi)

vram doesn't work way. video frame big,  , plug-in may or may not optimized graphics card or current version of drivers. i'd check element 3d folks. not directly ae issue.
