Thread: During Start-up

i notice during start ubuntu linux runs program call "mta."

problem locating program mta , removing it.

how find out mta located , stop starting during boot up.

thanks.

normally when ubuntu refers "mta" on startup, it's "mail transport agent", sendmail or postfix.

other application depends on mail transport agent, in case wouldn't want remove it. if appears slowing down startup, because it's having trouble resolving host name. if that's issue, please post , we'll fix it.
