Thread: Distorted Scanner Lexmark S305

when tried scanning in lexmark impact s300-400 series came out distorted instead of normal under ubuntu 12.10. when use printer-scanner on other computer works fine scanning stuff in normal. think may driver issue not having support lexmark impact s305 series, tried installing different driver different series substitute not being there in drivers list.

during initial printer setup section couldn't find necessary drivers particular lexmark model. it's sorta new-ish printer bought on year ago. couldn't find drivers through searching manually, , checked lexmark site linux drivers couldn't find, did link me external source had deb file, didn't work except adding support work scanner part of it.

here's looks distorted scanning. left open scanner bed see it's doing when scans, , scanning bar doesn't appear broken in way, worked should when scanning, appears linux driver problem, , not having right 1 installed work.

if can direct me actual working drivers lexmark impact s305 model series great!


a side note: printer indeed compatible linux, cuz says on box.

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
