Adding own password (to open) after bank has added Permissions password

i receive monthly bankstatements in pdf. bank has added permissions password prevent me (and else) altering data. save pdf file personal laptop harddrive. want add own password (to open saved file) prevent reading personal data. however, acrobat not allow it, file comes bank's permission password (which rightly not have access to).

 

how can add own 'to open' password after bank's permissions password?

 

if not possible, can acrobat change features allow in future update?

 

i not want save file in cloud.

you can't edit pdf file without permissions (author) password , adobe never going change obvious reasons.

 

if want prevent others opening file, simplest solution add zip archive , set password on that.
