Thread: Where are Gnome Shell launcher settings stored?


i used able, after fresh install, deja-dup restore settings , liked. couple of months now, seems number of settings not restored. if copy of .files grsync copy, no joy.

after testing test account, think i've figured out. settings in ~/.config/dconf, , though it's easy make backup copy of somewhere, seems resistant being overwritten in active session. if delete dconf directory during session, seems re-written. if delete different account, things revert default settings. can copy dconf directory account account well, , settings in effect.

apparently, change in raring, because simple deja-dup restore restore gnome-shell desktop settings fine. maybe moved location of settings or something. i'm glad have sorted out - driving me nuts...
