Thread: Video editor

hey guys.....i've been editing video on windows machine lot of years. use old tools because have lot of control. i'd switch on ubuntu , video editing 1 thing stopping me. have questions. i've been looking @ video editors , see 4 main contenders.
kino
openshot
pitivi
cubelerra

seem nice there feature looking , it's daunting install of them , use of them see if supports feature.

lot of interlaced video. prefer split fields , resize , end 60fps video. work in yuv color space. in windows use avsynth , vdub. old work well.

of video editors ubuntu work in way? best job in terms of getting clean output?

avidemux quite similar virtualdub, , serves same purpose.

far aware, there no 1 stop integrated frame serving solution linux such avisynth in windows. probably, can achieve lot of similar functionality using command line tools , tricks named papes etc.

openshot non-linear video editor aimed @ casual user. cinelerra more professional has steeper learning curve.
