Thread: Chkdsk for Ubuntu is there?

please reply, anyone.

don't understand question ...

if mean, there way run chkdsk ubuntu, no, there not. there ntfsfix, website claims:

ntfsfix utility fixes common ntfs problems. ntfsfix not linux version of chkdsk. repairs fundamental ntfs inconsistencies, resets ntfs journal file , schedules ntfs consistency check first boot windows.
what mark ntfs partition "dirty" when ms windows sees again, automatically run chkdsk against it.

if mean there equivalent linux filesystems, use fsck. type "man fsck" (in terminal) see options. believe there way filesystem check using disk utility -- have run livecd or liveusb -- can't run check on filesystem in use.
