Thread: Grub shows Ubuntu but only Recovery Environment for XP

hi there,

carried out dual boot install (ubuntu 11.10 on acer aspire 1 zg8 netbook xp). whilst manually adjusting partitions made stupid error , changed sda 2 ntfs (the main windows data drive) directly linux swap. after damage done (it formatted part of process), reassigned partitions hope more sensible shape...

[sda1 ntfs 6gb pqservice (original , unchanged)] [sda4 primary ext4 /home 130gb] [sda3 & sda5 (extended) logic linux swap 2gb] [sda2 ext4 / 10gb (boot)]

after successful install followed successful upgrade 12.04 have grub ubuntu options windows, 'recovery environment (loader)', which, when used, says says runs succesfully. (this involves "restoring pc factory default status", , formating c: drive (does partition exist anymore?) , produces errorcode=0 reboots)

have run boot-repair-disk boot usb , used 'recomended repair' function, situation unchanged.

if there identical or useful thread, please show me.

appreciate in fixing little bit of chaos. if need more info, please tell me , post best post it.

many

boot-repair-disk info @ http://paste2.org/lgo1pf3g

(some things confuse me, date 20 nov 2012 , fact says sda1 windows 7, else looks right though)
