latest open source driver supports v2.6.31 , above, able install driver extracting archive, http://www.highpoint-tech.com/bios_d...01-1355.tar.gz other models link here. http://www.highpoint-tech.com/usa_ne...0_download.htm

/downloads/rr62x-linux-src-v1.2/product/rr62x/linux$ sudo make
/downloads/rr62x-linux-src-v1.2/product/rr62x/linux$ sudo make install

know ubuntu has guide setup through dkms, method works well. thought share experience downloading these drivers. installation breeze, also, i'm averaging 90-130mb/s on coping/moving.

running off home server system, had switch windows home server else. running windows home server 8 months , noticed lag, , heavy fragmentation on several drives being windows trying install 3rd party defragger impossible. desktop accessed 2-3 people in house daily love stream videos. speeds card , windows lower 60-80mb/s second.

i'm running kernel 3.5.0-27-generic, on intel i7-860, 16gb ddr3-1333 | (1) 1.0tb wd black [boot], (3) 2.0tb wd green, (3) 2.0tb samsung 2040ui, (2) 2.0tb hitachi | dual 5 bay sans digital trm5b 5x2.0tb samsung 2040ui , 5x3.0tb seagate's. | this machine doesn't have sans digital configured in raid array due drives not being enterprise level or nas level drives run in jbod mode.

hope helps, know struggle people have had card. figured post here people find it.
