Thread: Apache, redirect

i'm messing around apache , wondering how redirect apache it's index.html file file temporarily. want able go 127.0.0.1 (or localhost) on browser , take me file created called index2.html (also in /var/www). want able delete index2.html file , have go index.html without making excess changes index.html other redirect it.

i'm going directoryindex parameter in httpd.conf file. don't recall ubuntu stores (/etc/httpd/conf, likely, under /etc/apache2). anyway, more info here: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/apache-...han-indexhtml/
